Ontario singer, songwriter, and musician Calvin Bakelaar started his indie folk recording alias VANCAMP while crafting songs in the midst of the pandemic. His melodic acoustic/folk music seamlessly blends indie grit and acoustic charm. Since 2022, Calvin has released 2 EP’s as VANCAMP: 523 (October 2022) and Camper Van (August 2023). In 2023, he played festivals like Peterborough Folk Fest and The Road to Cultivate Festival and opened for touring artists like Mariel Buckley (Country), Field Guide (Indie), and Texas King (Rock). Currently, Calvin is writing for VANCAMP’s debut album, which is set to release in late 2024.
